The Pebble at Acqua Private Residences: A Country Club by the Water

Imagine living in an urban oasis, in a tropical, rainforest-infused setting while being a few steps away from all that you love about the city. That’s Acqua Private Residences, a six-tower community by the historic Pasig River at a point where Makati and Mandaluyong cities meet. At the core of this award-winning development of top property developer Century Properties is an impressive central amenity called The Pebble, Acqua’s four-storey waterfront clubhouse and the visual focal point of the entire development.

The Pebble is a gleaming white, modern interpretation of a smooth river stone with a large cutout in front providing an almost window-like vista. It features three iconic waterfalls that seemingly flow into the mighty river below.

The Pebble houses the state-of-the-art total health, wellness and fitness center, a 25-meter glass lap pool with jacuzzi, café and juice bar, locker rooms, function rooms, expansive lobby, kids’ wall climbing and play area, sophisticated movie room, kids’ playroom and a mini library.

Communities built for auspicious living

How does a living space become auspicious? By luck? By the prevailing environment? Or a combination of such concepts?

For Century Properties, the secret to ideal living spaces can be found in the right blend of a good location and the natural elements that attract good luck. So when you’re looking for auspicious, look no further than Century Properties’ Acqua Private Residences, Azure Urban Resort Residences, and The Residences at Commonwealth.

Centers of activity

Consider the locations: Mandaluyong, Bicutan, and Commonwealth. All three locales are already centers of activity, whether commercial, educational, or religious. The fact that they are thriving communities already promises would-be residents a number of good living possibilities.

Acqua Private Residences is at the border of two major cities — Makati and Mandaluyong. Both offer great advantages to the urban dweller. They have become centers of commerce over the years, housing the country’s major shopping destinations, headquarters of top business offices, and places of worship, study, and recreation.

The Azure Urban Resort Residences, meanwhile, is located at the crossroads of the South Luzon Expressway and Bicutan, Parañaque, easily accessible via skyway or the ground level highway.  It is also right next to a major commercial complex.

The Residences Commonwealth by Century finds itself in a setting that’s as auspicious as a community can get: the center of a property boom in Quezon City. Here, offices and other commercial centers are rising, opening up opportunities for a property’s value appreciation and bringing the conveniences of daily living closer.

Water as central element

Water is a pervading element in all three. Acqua, by its name alone and location, is a water-oriented development.

With a regenerating river right across it, and waterfalls a central part of its amenity aesthetic, the rhythm and flow of water provides a soothing backdrop to the convergence of Acqua residents.

The beach at the Azure brings into harmony urban living and a laidback daily lifestyle. Its promise of a daily escape is enough to recharge any urban dweller already weary from the city’s enervating bustle.

The central amenity of a naturescape at the Residences at Commonwealth is highlighted by three water features: a reflecting pond, a rapid pool, and its own waterfalls.

With each water feature set at varying degrees of energy, dwellers are sure to find something that is right for their mood or inclinations.

In all three developments, the water features do not provide a visual spectacle alone; they are there for residents to enjoy or take pleasure in at their own pace and will.

Luck by design

The Acqua’s architecture is designed to step up towards the eastern direction, acclaimed by feng shui experts as auspicious.

Meanwhile, Niagara, already a bustling vertical community with people already moved in, is in the direction of the Prosperity Star. Its second tower, also occupied by many, is in the direction of the Wisdom Star. It is said to be perfect for students to find a place of study.

It takes more than luck to find an ideal place to live these days. You will do well to consider options that bring possibilities for life’s essentials.

Ready-for-occupancy units: Century Properties pushes deep into RFO

Just past the Bicutan exit of the South Luzon Expressway is a condominium community that continues to surprise guests. Azure Urban Resort Residences, which attracted a lot of attention when Hollywood celebrity Paris Hilton inaugurated its central amenity called the Paris Beach Club, is an urban development that has become a huge part of the community’s appeal.

If in the past, themes often meant “design,” these days, a themed development offers an entirely experiential level. Century Properties, Azure’s developer is pushing the envelope by bringing more than just the sheen of exterior aesthetics — that is, through dynamic lifestyles that come with beautifully designed homes.

At the Azure Urban Resort Residences, home is beachside living. The first residents of the nine-building development now enjoy what may be the rarest amenity feature among condominium communities in the city. Sunbathing on the sand, beach volleyball, and of course, swimming, are as much a daily option as they wish. That’s like coming home to a resort every single day of the year for all of your life.

Complementing the beach set up is a beach bar that offers the pleasures of sundown cocktails. The community’s own clubhouse—the Paris Beach Club –is also by the water and offers an entire set of lifestyle options such as dining, exercising, spa treatments, film viewing and gaming.

Going much deeper into the city, one finds the Acqua Private Residences, where two of its towers are now livable communities—the Niagara and Sutherland. Like all of Acqua’s towers, both overlook a simulation of a tropical rainforest, or trails of greens that open to a vibrant waterfront.

In the middle of this is the now-rising amenity called The Pebble, a country club by the water facing an ever dynamic urban center. Located right smack in the center of the development, it’s the perfect retreat for someone entrenched daily in the hustle of an ever mobile city. It is fronted by a Riverwalk Promenade which will house several commercial establishments.

In the near future, residents shall have more lifestyle choices courtesy of Acqua Livingstone which is being interior designed by MissoniHome and Acqua Iguazu, whose interiors are by yoo inspired by Starck. Both seamlessly fuse their nature-inspired designs with the hugely verdant themes pervading the entire development.

Each tower has its own roofdeck amenity. Where Acqua Livingstone has The Canopy, the Acqua Iguazu has The Cielo. The Canopy spans two levels where varied pursuits find their home: function rooms, business centers, gyms, library, and other amenities that promote health, wellbeing, and cultural curiosity on the lower level; an amphitheater, a DJ booth and dance floor, pool, and BBQ facilities, its social and entertainment space on the upper level.
Tying these two levels together is an organic wire-mesh tree that winds its way up and connects to the mezzanine floor which may be used as an open-air dining area or an observation deck.

The Cielo, meanwhile promotes interaction between residents. It has a common dining area, a library, a bar. And looming above this is a Cielo feature, an orb that assumes the sun’s character by day, and the moon, by night.

The Residences Commonwealth by Century in Quezon City, meanwhile, is a venue to pursue one’s passion. It takes a multifaceted approach to amenity development. This community bears a nurturing spirit, what with indoor and outdoor spaces that provide holistic, active, and healthy lifestyle experiences.

There will be areas that promote activity and wellness such as multipurpose courts, athletic boot camp, gym and fitness center, gardens, a yoga deck, and its own version of a children’s playground, The Orchard, a peeled apple-inspired treehouse with slides and ladder.

Forget having idle moments as venues for learning on your own or with groups will abound: a study and library, an arts & crafts studio, a dance studio, a cooking studio, and advanced learning center.

And like most of Century Properties recent developments, it also has a screening room that can be booked for private movie viewings.

Toddlers also get their own space via the crèche (a nursery) and kindergarten.

Surrounding the central amenity area is a nature park that’s highlighted by water features such as a reflecting pond, a rapid pool, and its very own waterfalls.

Century Properties’ RFO units: Move right into a beachside community, a residential Eden, or a nurturing environment

Just immediately after Bicutan exit from the South Luzon expressway is a condominium community that continues to surprise guests. It is the Azure Urban Resort Residences, which attracted a lot of attention when Paris Hilton inaugurated its central amenity called the Paris Beach Club.

Not common among urban developments, it has become a huge part of the community’s appeal.  If in the past, themes often meant “design,” these days, a themed development offers an entirely experiential level. Century Properties, Azure’s developer is pushing the envelope by bringing more than just the sheen of exterior aesthetics into our lives—that is, through dynamic lifestyles that come with beautifully designed homes.

Dettifoss and Livingstone towers of Acqua topped-off

Century Properties Group recently topped off the Dettifoss and the Livingstone, the third and fourth towers of Acqua Private Residences in Mandaluyong City.

This brings the 2.4-hectare development’s topped off buildings to a total of four, with the first two – the Niagara and Sutherland towers – topped off in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Niagara and Sutherland are scheduled for completion this year.

“We are on course towards realizing our vision for the Acqua development of transforming this property into a rainforest-infused residential Eden. We share this milestone with all our Acqua clients. It won’t be long before they experience nature, water-inspired amenities and riverside retail in one beautiful, high-concept master-planned community,” said Century Properties President and CEO Marco R. Antonio.

The Livingstone tower of Acqua is anticipated with the signature interior design of the global luxury brand Missoni Home on the tower’s amenities and exclusive sky deck.

Meanwhile, another one of Acqua’s signature towers, the fifth building called Iguazu, started construction last year. Iguazu’s amenity interiors are designed by Yoo inspired by Starck, a design firm co-founded by John Hitchcox and the noted designer Philippe Starck. The sixth Acqua tower will be launched soon.

Acqua Private Residences is rising fast on the banks of the regenerating Pasig River and has the advantage of being situated on the periphery of Mandaluyong, five minutes away from Makati via the new Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge and the Makati-Mandaluyong Bridge.

Infused with the beauty of a tropical rainforest, its towers feature select units with private gardens.

The development’s central amenity is called The Pebble, designed as a visual focal point with three waterfalls and multi-level facilities for leisure, relaxation, entertainment, and fitness.
